“Booking through Expedia said “River view”; however given a room “On the River”. Best to call the lodge to book in order to be clear on the room you want. A little extra cleaning can go a long way in the pool and cabins, but they just opened the week we went so I feel it probably will improve throughout the year. The staff (especially Sharon at the front desk), dinner menu and things to do in the area made it a 5/5. ”

“A place to lay your head and that’s it ! Still even then we didn’t sleep the best , the mattress cover is plastic which makes you sweat . And no shower head so your straight up getting blasted with the water comimg out of the pipe. Train was a super cool feature , the noise of it didn’t bother me with it being so close. “We booked this hotel for 3 nights and added a 4th night. The purpose of our booking was for a hospital stay. The rooms are lovely, clean and a good size The electric fireplace, house coats and slippers are a lovely add on The kitchenette with cooking apparatus and utensils saved us money on eating out Our only complaint was one of the kitchen cupboards was broken. We also only asked for housekeeping once during our stay - but neither coffee nor toilet tissue was replenished.”

“Nice area. Pet friendly, which is great. The cottages are spacious but dated. Some of the cottages and similiar to a duplex, with another guest staying on the other side of the wall. Ours was like this and our neighbors were a bit noisy until 11-1130pm. We stayed here in October so cannot comment on the pool.”
